The final CHISEL album is nothing short of tremendous. Ted Leo and the gang exhibit incredible versatility throughout, moving effortlessly from crunching guitar riffs to acoustic ballads to sparse melodies to full-blown brass-backed craziness. It's just a damn shame they're no longer around- so pick this album up, for posterity's sake if nothing else- you'll get to see what the Beatles would have sounded like if they'd started out in circa 90s DC instead of Manchester.
