On July 24th, 2011, Daniel Bobis died while surfing off the coast of Sumatra. Daniel was an avid surfer, a math teacher and coach at Long Beach High School. He was also an environmental activist, a drummer in the hardcore punk band Cipher, a husband, and a friend to so many. In 2009 Daniel helped launch a campaign that successfully halted the construction of an offshore Liquid Natural Gas substation slated to be built 13 miles south of Long Beach. In doing so he saved the fragile ecosystem of the Cholera Bank and secured the safety of Long Beach's waters. Daniel truly lived the message tattooed on his arm proclaiming that,"wealth is weighed in spirit." He will be dearly missed by his wife, his friends, his fellow activists and his students.

This shirt is a tribute to Daniel and all proceeds raised will go directly to supporting the Bobis family.
