Issa Nyaphaga, Camaroon Support Shirt
The Sparrow Project has partnered with Hope International for Tikar People (HITIP) to make a shirt that would support their efforts to outfit the Tikar people of Cameroon with much needed medical supplies. HITIP’s Usoko Project provides individuals with disabilities in Cameroon with custom wheelchairs designed to withstand the environmental challenges of rural communities in the equatorial rainforest. HTIPs founder, Issa Nyaphaga, is an exiled artist & activist who spent three years in a Cameroon prison for his political cartoons, upon his release Issa began a career as an internationally recognized artist & activist. Issa's bird/hand print symbolizes freedom from oppression, an outlet through music, and a reflection of his traditional roots. Half of the profits from the sale of this shirt will go directly to Issa's efforts to build wheelchairs and provide medical aid to the Tikar people. To learn more about Issa & HTIP Click Here
